As part of our continued commitment to social responsibility and educational outreach, Dataplex recently had the opportunity to host IB1 students from two of Greece’s most prominent private schools. The goal? To offer them real-world exposure to the fundamentals of network security, one of the most critical fields in today’s digital world.
Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice
Throughout the visit, students were introduced to essential networking and cybersecurity concepts, from understanding how data flows through systems to identifying and mitigating common security threats. These sessions were designed not only to inform but to inspire — connecting classroom knowledge to actual industry practices.
What made the experience even more valuable was the hands-on lab session, where students were challenged to apply what they had learned in a simulated network environment. This practical component allowed them to configure secure systems, troubleshoot issues, and gain a clearer understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in protecting digital infrastructure.
